ABOUT ROYAL PALM BEACH STARS
Our goal at Royal Palm Beach Stars is to involve young athletes in basketball programs at both a recreational and/or competitive levels. Using our "fundamentals first" philosophy we have created a safe, positive environment for athletes of all ages.
We believe sports programs help create a competitive learning environment in which many psychologists consider a vital link to providing children with some of the skills necessary to be successful in all areas in life.
Royal Palm Beach Stars is dedicated to educate and motivate each member through "fundamentals first" and the spirit of sports. The emphasis of our program is to provide opportunities that encourage the pursuit of lifetime activities, a sense of commitment and the development of personal character for children that otherwise might not have a chance to grow to their fullest potential.
OBJECTIVES
At Royal Palm Beach Stars we begin with the basics and then move on through advanced skills. Our coaching and instructions takes place in small groups to ensure that each child gets the individual attention they need to reach their maximum potential (5-1 ratio). Our program is built to encourage both team and personal growth in a positive fun atmosphere.
We will offer instructional clinics to prepare the children in Royal Palm Beach to understand and play the game, giving them the skills they need to be better players at the Recreational level, Travel level and school teams. Our goal is to incorporate a travel program at every age level to give the children of Royal Palm the experience they need to succeed as athletes while teaching them the meaning of commitment and team.
COACHING STAFF
Head Coach: Claudene Brooks
Coach Claudene Brooks has been with Royal Palm Beach Stars since 2011 and more recently serves beyond her coaching role as the program's new President. Coach Brooks has an immense sports background beyond basketball [25+ years] that includes volleyball, soccer, tennis, and track & field.
Coach Brooks shows her passion for coaching and training and has been a personal basketball and track & field trainer since 1994.

Head Coach: Jeff Brooks
Coach Jeff has been with Royal Palm Beach Stars since 2013. Coach Jeff, like the full lineup of Stars coaches, brings a history of basketball experience to Stars. Introduced to the game of basketball at a young age, Coach Jeff played all the way through high school and even in the military leagues when he served in the Air Force.

Coach Jeff eventually made his way to Royal Palm Beach, FL after his service in the USAF and connected with Coach Claudene Brooks [yes, they are husband and wife]. Coach Jeff was introduced to Royal Palm Beach Stars and learned how to coach, manage, and referee. The Brooks' two sons also play for the Stars organization.

Coach Jeff still participates in Men's Leagues and Recreation Center Activities.
