Partnering with SAS

Your sponsorship of SAS helps to cover the costs of our Travel Season and the Savon's Higher Opportunity Organizational Training (S.H.O.O.T.) Leadership Program [workshops and events]. Beyond just financial support, we also invite our partners to go the extra mile to educate and the SAS student athletes about their business or any knowledge they have to offer our students through workshops. The goals and objectives of sponsorships are specifically intended for Community Outreach to educate our student athletes and teach them about how to maintain a GPA of 3.0 and about financial responsibilities.  While playing in Basketball Tournaments and Fundraising to accomplish goals, the players will build relationships with opposing teams while they develop a love to accomplish goals in their lifetime using basketball and their community resources as they enter adulthood.

community impact

SAS impacts a over 630 students since 2009 in the Competitive and Recreational Programs, and an additional 400 children per year in Royal Palm Beach’s Recreational Basketball Program, camps, and early release and holidays from school.   The Village of Royal Palm Beach has worked exclusively with Savon's Academy Stars to be the provider for their competitive basketball programs which allows us to positively impact and enhance the health and welfare of over 3,000 children.

St. Thomas Initiative

As a testimony to the power and benefit of partnering with Savon's Academy Stars, here is how a current partnership with St. Thomas University has provided mutually beneficial results.

Savon’s Academy Stars is currently involved with the St. Thomas Initiative.

SAS actively encourages our student athletes to add St. Thomas Initiatives as one of our standards. Once our program director learned of the University we began promoting St. Thomas to our students, parents, and fans of our program.  We also promote St. Thomas in our brochure and on our website. Our student athletes recently gained even more interest in St. Thomas when Patrick Gayle [STU Men's Basketball Head Coach] attended a practice session on March 17th at the Royal Palm Beach recreation Center and spoke to our teams.  Through committed partnerships such as this, our goal is to develop relationships with many other colleges and universities throughout the country.
